Founded 2014 — Alla Kleban, Esq. practicing since 2009
Long Island is where we live and work. Kleban Law Group is a boutique law firm based in Valley Stream, serving individuals and families across Nassau and Suffolk Counties — from Hempstead and Garden City out through Huntington, Islip, and the East End. We handle injury claims on contingency, and real estate and estate planning matters on flat fees, so you know what things cost before you commit.

The firm was founded in 2014 and is led by Alla Kleban, Esq., who has practiced personal injury law since 2009. Whether you were hurt on the Southern State, need an attorney for a Nassau closing, or want a will that actually works under New York law, the first conversation is free.

Serving Long Island

Our office sits at the western edge of Nassau County, which puts most of Long Island within a comfortable drive and Queens a few minutes away. We appear regularly in the Nassau County courts in Mineola and Hempstead, and we travel to Suffolk County for matters that require it.

Long Island cases have their own character. Injury claims here are dominated by highway collisions on the Long Island Expressway, the Southern and Northern State Parkways, and Sunrise Highway; by winter slip and falls in strip mall and supermarket parking lots; and by construction work on residential and commercial builds across both counties. On the transactional side, Long Island is a homeowner's market — which means real estate closings, refinances, and estate plans built around a house are a large part of what we do.

Being local matters in practical ways. We know which carriers settle and which ones need to be sued, which town and village bodies own which roads and sidewalks, and how long a Nassau or Suffolk closing realistically takes.

How We Help Long Islanders

Personal Injury

Our core injury practice, handled on contingency across Nassau and Suffolk. New York gives you three years from the date of injury in most cases — but as little as 90 days to file a Notice of Claim if a town, village, county, or school district is involved.

Motor Vehicle Accidents

Highway and intersection collisions, truck and commercial vehicle crashes, motorcycle accidents, rideshare incidents, and pedestrian knockdowns. Long Island's commuter volume means rear-end and lane-change collisions are common, and disputed fault is routine. Your no-fault claim must be filed with your own insurer within 30 days.

Construction Accidents

Long Island is a busy construction corridor for our practice. Falls from ladders, scaffolds and roofs, falling objects, and heavy machinery accidents on residential and commercial sites. Labor Law §240 and §241 can hold property owners and general contractors strictly liable, on top of your workers' compensation claim.

Slip, Trip & Fall

Icy parking lots, unshovelled walkways, wet supermarket floors, broken sidewalks, and defective stairs. The contested issue is almost always notice — whether the owner knew about the hazard or should have found it. Surveillance footage is often overwritten within 24 to 72 hours, so we move quickly to preserve it.

Nursing Home Abuse & Neglect

Bedsores, unexplained injuries, malnutrition, dehydration, medication errors, and unsupervised wandering in Nassau and Suffolk facilities. New York Public Health Law §2801-d gives families a direct claim against a facility that fails to meet state and federal standards.

Dog & Animal Bites

Bites on the owner's property, in parks, and to delivery and postal workers. In a homeowner-heavy market like Long Island, most claims are paid by the owner's homeowners' or renters' insurance rather than out of pocket — which is why suing a neighbour is rarely what it sounds like.

Real Estate Transactions

Residential purchases, sales, refinances, and for-sale-by-owner deals across Nassau and Suffolk, on flat-fee pricing. In New York the attorney drafts and negotiates the contract, so the 10-day attorney review period after signing is where your protection is actually built. Standard Long Island closings typically run 60 to 90 days from contract.

Wrongful Death

The claim is brought by the personal representative of the estate, appointed through the Nassau or Suffolk Surrogate's Court. The deadline is two years from the date of death. We handle the wrongful death claim and the survival claim together where both apply.

Wills & Estate Planning

For most Long Island families the house is the estate, which makes titling and probate exposure the whole ballgame. We draft wills, revocable living trusts, healthcare proxies, living wills, powers of attorney, and special needs trusts on flat-fee pricing, and we assist executors through Surrogate's Court. New York's own estate tax has a "cliff" effect worth planning around if your estate is near the exemption.

Uncontested Divorce

If you and your spouse have agreed on every term — property, debt, custody, support — we prepare the settlement agreement and file for a flat fee. Most uncontested divorces are processed within 8 to 14 weeks of filing.

Why Injured Long Islanders Choose Kleban Law Group

A boutique firm, not a volume shop

We take cases selectively because we take every one seriously. The client is never a dollar sign. When you hire Kleban Law Group, you work directly with an attorney and with senior paralegals who hold degrees in legal fields and have five or more years of experience specifically with New York State insurance law.

We know these courts and these carriers

Alla Kleban, Esq. has practiced personal injury law since 2009 and founded the firm in 2014. Between us we've handled thousands of hearings, depositions, arbitrations, and court conferences across the five boroughs, and prepared and defeated motions on discovery, liability, and the serious injury threshold. We refer a matter to trial counsel when the offer is too low or the carrier refuses to accept liability — not before.

Honest timelines

Roughly 85% of our cases resolve within six months to a year, provided they don't go into litigation. Cases that go to trial can take three to seven years depending on the court and the opposing party. We'd rather tell you that at the start than surprise you later.

We speak your language

Our staff speak Spanish, Urdu, Hindi, Punjabi, and Russian, and language support continues throughout your case — not just at the first call.
